MMCZ is looking for a versatile and strategic Deputy General Manager – Marketing to join their team. Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for crafting strategies that enhance the Corporation’s contribution to the fiscus and economic development in the mining sector.

This includes developing and implementing global marketing strategies, conducting marketing research and trend analysis, and monitoring and evaluating the Corporation’s projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in marketing minerals, preferably with exposure to international markets. Excellent collaboration, strategic thinking, and integrity are essential for this role. Remuneration and other incentives will be discussed during the selection process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Crafting strategies to enhance the Corporation’s contribution to the fiscus and economic development in the mining sector.
  • Ensuring that the Corporation taps into the appropriate market segments.
  • Directing overall communication strategies to maintain mutual business relationships with stakeholders and promote investment.
  • Developing and implementing global marketing strategies.
  • Conducting marketing research and trend analysis.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the Corporation’s projects.
  • Overseeing the implementation of the Marketing budget.
  • Applying performance management tools effectively and monitoring the achievement of results.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing strategic guidance and leadership to the marketing team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Marketing or any other relevant commercial degree.
  • MBA/MBL or any other relevant Master’s degree.
  • A relevant professional qualification.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in marketing minerals, with at least 5 years at senior management level.
  • Exposure to international markets is highly advantageous.
