ZIMOCO is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Costing and Warranty Clerk to join the company’s dynamic team. As a Costing and Warranty Clerk at ZIMOCO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate cost estimations and efficient warranty claims administration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimations for commercial vehicles, considering factors such as labour, materials, and overhead expenses.
  • Liaise with manufacturers and dealers to gather necessary information for warranty claims.
  • Administer warranty claims process, ensuring timely submission and accurate documentation.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of warranty claims to determine validity and adherence to policies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of warranty claims, including supporting documents and correspondence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as technicians and service advisors, to gather relevant information for cost estimations and warranty claims.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of cost control measures and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding warranty claims, providing updates and resolving any issues or concerns.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate warranty performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in warranty policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A recognised technical qualification with a focus on commercial vehicles.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warranty claims administration, preferably with recognised brands or dealers.
  • Additional 2 years of experience in job costing will be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, including MS Office applications and relevant software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
