Kingdom Blue Funeral Services is looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Claims Assessor to join our dynamic team. As a Claims Assessor, you will play a vital role in assessing and processing claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.

This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our clients during the claims process. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess each claim on the system and identify the type of claim.
  • Ensure that all supporting documentation for the identified claim has been submitted, including the signed claim form, identification of the deceased, proof of bank details, and death certificate.
  • Process valid claims on the system and submit them for payment.
  • Notify clients of outstanding documentation for claims that require additional information.
  • Reject or repudiate invalid claims based on established guidelines.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP) during the claims process.
  • Maintain an error rating of less than 1% by accurately capturing claims.
  • Verify and adjudicate claims captured for correctness and compliance.
  • Address inquiries from members, prospective clients, and service providers regarding benefits and products in a professional and informative manner.
  • Provide accurate information about products and services, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Interact with customers in a compassionate and empathetic manner, understanding the sensitivity of the claims process.
  • Communicate the claims process to employers and clients, following the established claim management process.
  • Prepare recommendations to reduce risk associated with claims.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Business Degree such as Risk Management & Insurance, Business Analytics, or Research & Statistics.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar environment is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel at an advanced level is essential.
  • Must possess a clean class 4 driver’s license.
  • Competencies required for this role include attention to detail, customer focus, investigative skills, interpersonal skills, and analytical skills.
