Corporate 24 Hospital Group is looking for a talented Chef to join our dynamic team in Bulawayo. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals for our patients and staff.

This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a healthcare environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary requirements.
  • Ensure that all meals are prepared in a hygienic and safe manner.
  • Monitor food stock levels and place orders for ingredients as needed.
  • Collaborate with the nutritionist and healthcare team to develop specialized meal plans for patients with specific dietary needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, adhering to sanitation standards.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety procedures.
  • Assist in menu planning and developing new recipes to enhance the dining experience.
  • Adhere to portion control guidelines and minimize food waste.
  • Stay updated with food trends and industry best practices.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient and staff dietary preferences and restrictions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in food preparation and culinary or any related field.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience as a chef.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Ndebele language is required.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing meals.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
