Job Description

Our client, a leading organization, is seeking a motivated and skilled Buyer to join their team. With a commitment to excellence and a strong reputation in the industry, our client is dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services.

Join their dynamic team and contribute to their success by managing the purchasing process and ensuring the organization’s stock requirements are met efficiently. Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to oversee the procurement of all stocks required by the organization.

As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in building relationships with suppliers, conducting price comparisons, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods. Your ability to negotiate favourable terms and maintain a reliable supply chain will be essential to the organization’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to fulfill the organization’s stock requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting price and quality comparisons to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase orders in a timely manner to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand stock needs and specifications.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to track and expedite deliveries, ensuring on-time receipt of goods.
  • Conduct regular market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and product availability.
  • Analyze and evaluate supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and taking appropriate action.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to procurement activities.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize the procurement process and reduce costs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchase and Supply, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification in procurement or supply chain management is an added advantage.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
