Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund (ZIMDEF) is seeking a skilled and experienced Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the effective utilization of our data resources to drive informed decision-making and business growth.

As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you will be responsible for the reconfiguration of our business intelligence reporting system, data modeling and designing, ETL designing using SAP Data Services, universe designing, and front-end report development using SAP Web Intelligence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective business intelligence solutions.
• Reconfigure the existing business intelligence reporting system to optimize performance and enhance data visualization capabilities.
• Develop and implement data models that capture and represent the organization’s data assets accurately.
• Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SAP Data Services to extract data from various sources and transform it into usable formats.
• Create and maintain universes, ensuring data integrity and consistency across different reporting platforms.
• Develop interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using SAP Web Intelligence, providing key insights to stakeholders.
• Provide support and troubleshoot issues related to business intelligence systems, resolving errors promptly to minimize downtime.
• Manage and maintain the staging database and data warehouse in SQL, ensuring data quality and availability.
• Perform database administration tasks, including installation and configuration of SAP Business Intelligence software.
• Generate and upload ABAP dataflow in the SAP ERP system to facilitate seamless data integration.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Business Objects 4.2, including its components and functionalities.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence development and implementation.
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and report development using SAP tools.
• Familiarity with SQL and database administration.
