Our client, a leading company in the transport and logistics sector, is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Representative to join their team.
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for driving business growth, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the client base within the transport and logistics industry.
The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the company.
- Coordinate business development events and office activities.
- Build and maintain professional networks and progressive relationships with key partners, shareholders, and stakeholders.
- Schedule attendance and participation at events and exhibitions.
- Formulate a business development strategy and budget aligned with execution plans.
- Implement the business development strategy and compile comprehensive reports on business performance.
- Research and stay updated on developments in the logistics industry locally and internationally.
- Identify new partnerships, collaborations, and business development opportunities.
- Conduct research on target clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Draft contracts, clauses, and retainers with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients on a weekly basis.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve sales revenue targets.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the logistics industry.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management/Logistics.
- Degree and certifications in Supply Chain Management/Logistics (an advantage).
- Minimum of three (3) continuous years of experience in logistics or transport business development (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of the logistics industry (mandatory).
- Class 4 Driver’s License.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional digital presentation skills.
- Project management skills.
- Quality and time management oriented.
- Basic salary of USD 350.00.
- USD 5,000.00 sales revenue target to activate a 10% commission on net revenue generated monthly.
- Vehicle and fuel allowance for business purposes.
- Communication allowance.
