Job Description

Our client, an organization in the customs clearing sector is seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team This role offers competitive remuneration and benefits.

The company specializes in providing customs clearing services and has been established for several years. They are committed to delivering high-quality services to their clients and maintaining strong financial management practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for various accounting and financial tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with financial regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile and follow up on vendor and creditors advances in a timely manner.
  • Handle cash deposits and withdrawals from banks.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for local bank accounts.
  • Conduct cash counts for petty cash.
  • Compile cash forecasts from district supervisors and provide input into Cash Call requests through the Accounts Payable Analysis.
  • Prepare relevant reconciliation reports, district financial reports, and sub-ledger reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense claims accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and analysis.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Bookkeeper.
  • Highly proficient in computer applications, including Pastel Navision and Microsoft packages.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
