Corporate 24 Hospital Group is looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join the company’s dynamic team in Bulawayo. As a Billing Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the finance and accounting department, ensuring accurate processing of medical claims and adherence to relevant regulations.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficient financial operations of the hospital group.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process medical claims accurately and efficiently, adhering to the AHFOZ tariff codes and medical claims regulations.
  • Review and verify medical billing information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure timely submission of medical claims to insurance companies and other relevant parties.
  • Follow up on outstanding claims, resolve any billing discrepancies, and handle claim denials or rejections.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, fee schedules, and billing guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other staff to obtain necessary documentation for claim processing.
  • Prepare and maintain billing records, reports, and documentation.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements for efficient billing operations.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Provide support and assistance to other members of the finance and accounting team as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or Diploma in Finance or Accounting.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical claims processes and AHFOZ tariff codes.
  • Proven experience as a billing clerk.
  • Familiarity with various accounting packages.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Adherence to laws, regulations, and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Experience in insurance claims would be an added advantage.
