BancABC is looking for a customer-oriented and detail-oriented Teller to join our team at the Masvingo Branch. As a Teller, you will play a crucial role in providing top-class service to our banking customers.
You will be responsible for conducting account transactions, providing information and advice on our products and services, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Join our dynamic team and contribute to delivering exceptional banking experiences to our valued customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
- Cross-sell BancABC’s products and services to customers.
- Process foreign currency switches for all currencies.
- Handle the redemption of remittances.
- Perform cash withdrawals and deposit transactions.
- Accurately capture and record transactions.
- Provide customers with accurate information and address their inquiries.
- Serve as the custodian of the ATM.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and adhere to internal and external policies and procedures.
- Efficiently and accurately complete all customer transactions.
- Proactively identify and report any discrepancies or concerns.
- Communicate articulately and accurately with customers, using their names to personalize interactions.
- Handle customer complaints and inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Take ownership of customer issues and escalate them appropriately.
- Provide assistance, advice, and alternative solutions to benefit customers.
- Promote the benefits of alternative banking methods and actively assist customers in utilizing them.
- Demonstrate respect, understanding, consideration, knowledge, and skill when interacting with colleagues and clients.
- Ensure compliance when signing documents or carrying out tasks involving dual control.
- Answer telephone calls promptly and professionally.
- Adapt positively to changes in working practices or environment.
- Regularly balance cash and maintain accurate records.
- Attend to and resolve basic technical failures as first-line support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 ‘A’ Levels and 5 ‘O’ Levels, including Mathematics and English.
- Studying towards an IOBZ qualification is an added advantage.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Teller, preferably in a banking environment.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to listen, understand, and respond to customer queries promptly.
- Demonstrated ability to show empathy and effectively resolve customer dissatisfaction.
- Friendly, cheerful, and well-groomed appearance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Strong time management skills.
- Team player with the ability to thrive in a dynamic cultural environment.
Job Related Knowledge:
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory issues relevant to the banking system in Zimbabwe.
