A local bakery, specializing in handmade bakery products made with the freshest ingredients from local and imported supply chains, is seeking passionate and committed Bakery Branch Managers.

The local bakery is looking for experienced and skilled Bakery Branch Managers to join our dynamic team in Gutu, Rusape, Chinhoyi, Kariba.

As a Bakery Branch Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of multiple outlets and ensuring the smooth flow of daily activities. We offer an attractive package and incentives for the right candidate, depending on experience and qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of bakery branch operations, including daily workflow, inventory management, and planning.
  • Ensure a smooth flow of operations and delivery of targets for each outlet.
  • Increase branch sales by 40 percent through market penetration and development strategies.
  • Train and develop employees to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with the lead bakers and shareholders to maintain the quality and consistency of food items.
  • Recommend productivity improvements and implement them effectively.
  • Manage logistics and inventory of production output.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with suppliers and distributors.
  • Conduct research and development activities with bakers to introduce new products and distribution points.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and other relevant certifications.
  • Enhance processes, manage costs, and implement effective marketing strategies.
  • Set targets for staff and provide guidance and support to achieve them.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant first degree in a related field. Any masters’ degree will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated managerial and operational experience in large bakery operations, preferably in restaurants or hotel chains.
  • Experience in bread making, confectionery, and bakery operations is highly desirable.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with diverse staff and suppliers.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the bakery and confectionery industry.
  • Familiarity with relevant food hygiene and other certifications.
