Job Description

World Vision Zimbabwe is seeking a Graduate Intern (Education and Livelihoods) to join their team in Makoni. As a Graduate Intern, you will work closely with the Education and Livelihoods Development Facilitator to implement impactful interventions in the areas of education and livelihoods.

This role offers an opportunity to gain practical skills while positively impacting the lives of children, particularly those in or out of school. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team committed to transforming communities through education and sustainable livelihood initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in the implementation of Makoni Education/Livelihoods TP interventions.
  • Collaborate with relevant Government ministries, Rural Development district offices, and community structures to identify activities that enhance children’s learning.
  • Assist Cluster DFs in overseeing schedules and milestone management.
  • Identify project scope, risks, constraints, dependencies, assumptions, and deadlines.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on the status of Livelihoods and Education TP projects.
  • Perform basic project monitoring as per the developed monitoring system to guide activity plan development.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date field activity data source at the AP level.
  • Contribute to the development of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems, tools, and processes at the district level.
  • Organize and schedule Livelihoods and Education meetings as required by the AP.
  • Support the facilitation of inclusive education initiatives and learning assessment tools.
  • Demonstrate stakeholder and community engagement, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Utilize MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) proficiently.
  • Exhibit a genuine desire and willingness to serve in rural communities.
  • Adhere to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences, or Development Studies.
  • Previous experience in implementing Education or Development projects is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of numeracy and literacy issues, as well as experience in using learning assessment tools.
  • Strong stakeholder and community engagement skills, with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated willingness to serve in rural communities.
  • Familiarity with World Vision’s Christian Statement of Faith.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
