Our client is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to join their dynamic team in the construction sector. As an Accounts Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department in various accounting and administrative tasks.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of the company while developing your skills in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, invoices, and payment documentation.
  • Process and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist with payroll administration, including maintaining employee records and processing payments.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by gathering relevant financial information.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Respond to financial inquiries from internal stakeholders and external parties.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • An Accounting diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in numerical data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting software is a plus.
