    Safety health and environment Intern

    As an HSE Intern, I reported to the HSE Officer. My main duties included:
    • Ensuring compliance with health, safety and fire legislation,
    • Identifying HSE hazards and carrying out risk assessments through job safety analysis inspections,
    • Performing routine site audits and inspections,
    • Carrying out incident/accident investigations,
    • Preparing and presenting reports for the HSE Officer and Depot Manager,
    • Conducting pre-task assessments of contractors coming to work at NOIC,
    • Analysis of PPE/C through evaluation forms filled by employees,
    • Assisting the Health, Safety & Environment Officer with day-to-day activities,
    • Providing awareness on HSE key issues to all employees through HSE talks, posters HSE meetings,
    • Coordinating Safety drills, hse activities and emergency plans,
    • Inspecting fire extinguishers.
